On 5th March 2014 KS2, KS1 and reception were doing our first walkathon of 2014. We were raising our money for the blind school in Bangkok. Lots of children worked very hard for money and we are very proud of them. In reception we heard that there is one child who walked for 39 laps that is amazing! Every child in KS2 walked at least 10 or more laps. In the walkathon we also wore wacky hats and fancy costumes. Every hat and costume looked fantastic. There was also the winner for the most beautiful hat! The winner in KS2 is Mont from Y5JT and Kelly from KS1.
On 29 of January ,Reception, Primary and Secondary had Chinese New Year.
In the fair there were lots of activities to do. The concept of this year is horses because it was the year of Lunar. They were activity like puzzles, bingo, decorating the herb bags and painting the Chinese characters. There were people wearing Chinese costume. They were so pretty. Even before the fair started there was a Chinese instrument show. It was nice. Many people seems to be enjoying the fair but I think they also feel hot because of the weather. For this fair we have to give special thanks from the Chinese staff!
Before half term there were visitors from around the world visited our school. There were some from England, India, Burma and Thailand. Teachers seem to be telling their student to behave well. Furthermore teachers also tell their student that if you see a visitor, say hello to them and if you see them feeling lost, ask them if they need help. Children are behaving very well and that makes our visitor impress and feel welcome. The visitors describe us nicely, work hard and thoughtfulness. Well done to everyone!
