Where to buy your hamster and how to choose them.
If you want a hamster a vet may be able to help you find an animal shelter. You should buy a hamster with soft, glossy fur and it skin should be free of sore patches, cuts, pimples and rashes. Its eye, nose, ears, mouth and bottom should be clean too because that mean that the hamster is healthy. A hamster that is crouching in a corner of a cage is probably not well.
In your hamster’s cage you should put some food for it. The best time to feed your hamster is in the early or in the evening. Rhubarb leaves, potato tops, potato leaves and coltsfoot will poison your hamster.
